✅ What’s covered under Purchase Protection?
If you pay your 10% deposit through Firesale and experience one of the following issues, you may be eligible for a refund:
The item is significantly not as described (e.g. wrong item, wrong condition)
The item is damaged beyond expected wear and tear
You never receive the item (e.g. no-show from the seller)
The transaction is cancelled or doesn’t go through after the deposit is paid
🔒 If you decide not to complete the transaction in person because of one of these issues, your deposit will be refunded — no problem.
🕒 How long do I have to file a claim?
You must report the issue to Firesale within 2 days of the scheduled pickup or drop-off. The sooner, the better — this helps us act quickly to resolve the situation.

Tap the item in question
Select “Report an Issue” and follow the prompts
Our Trust & Safety Team will review your case and respond promptly
⚠️ What’s not covered
Firesale Purchase Protection does not apply to:
Items paid for outside the platform (cash deals not backed by our deposit system)
Buyer’s remorse or “I changed my mind”
Items described accurately but not meeting personal expectations (e.g. “smaller than I thought”)
Issues reported more than 2 days after the transaction
