Once you’ve purchased an item on Firesale, it’s time to pick it up or get it delivered — and we’re here to make that part smooth, safe, and simple.

📧 First: You’ll get a group email

As soon as you check out, we’ll send a secure group email to both you and the seller. This allows you to:

  • Coordinate pickup or drop-off

  • Ask any last-minute questions

  • Keep your real email address private

Our anonymous email system keeps your personal contact info safe while making communication easy — just reply to the email like normal, and we’ll handle the rest behind the scenes.

🧍‍♂️ If You’re Picking Up In Person:

Here are some tips for a safe, easy pickup:

Meet in a public place whenever possible (e.g. coffee shop, parking lot, community center)
Bring a friend if it makes you feel more comfortable
Inspect the item before handing over payment (you’ll be paying the remaining 90% directly to the seller)
Confirm the agreed-upon price and have the right payment method ready
Be respectful of the seller’s time and location

🚫 Avoid meeting late at night, going inside someone’s home alone, or bringing large amounts of cash without a plan.

📦 If Shipping is Available:

While Firesale is primarily local-first, we’re rolling out shipping and delivery options soon through trusted partners like USPS, UPS, and FedEx.

  • If shipping is available for your purchase, we’ll show the estimated cost and delivery time at checkout

  • You’ll still get the group email to stay connected with the seller

  • Tracking info will be provided once the seller ships the item

Stay tuned — full nationwide shipping is coming soon!

In summary:
After you buy, we make it easy to communicate, coordinate, and complete the sale — all while protecting your privacy and ensuring a smooth handoff.
