Meet in well-lit, public areas like a coffee shop, grocery store parking lot, or local shopping center
Avoid isolated or unfamiliar locations, especially at night
Many police stations and libraries offer community exchange zones for buying and selling — consider using one!
👯 Bring a friend (or let someone know)
If possible, bring a friend or family member along when meeting
At a minimum, let someone know where you're going, who you're meeting, and what time
📦 Inspect the item before completing the sale
If you’re the buyer, check the item carefully before paying the remaining 90%
If the item is damaged, incorrect, or not as described, you can choose not to complete the sale — and your 10% deposit will be refunded

Firesale buyers pay a 10% deposit online, then pay the seller the remaining 90% in person
